The ideal value of actual air volume delivered by the compressor w.r.t. of energy consumption should be 0.16 kW/CFM, but it comes as close to 0.22 to 0.24 kW/CFM. It clearly shows energy-saving opportunities, as high as 40%. During the unloading condition of a compressor, the air is not compressed but the motor consumes the power, resulting in a loss of energy.
